Number 56: Verbs and prepositions

Hello everyone,

Let’s a have a look at some prepositions. What? You don’t know what prepositions are? No problem, here are some examples:

with, on, at, about, under, of, in, after, into, for etc.

Look at the following sentence:

The company spent a large amount of money for training last year.

The sentence is incorrect! We don’t spend money for things, we spend money on things.

The company spent a large amount of money on training last year.

All the best,

Derek
